I'd like to thank Doug and the team at Wilson Diving for all the excellent service I've received. At no cost, Doug replaced a camera that had malfunctioned right over the counter. No waiting time for a replacement means that I'm back to taking photos and video. No fuss, no muss.

Doug, it means a lot to me that you did that. We need more business people like you! After 80 dives since February, my fusion dive suit, fins, hood/gloves, Aqualung BCD, and Petrel 2 dive computer all work like a dream.

Doug Wilson is a wonderful instructor whose primary objective is SAFETY, and second is Fun. After 23 years as a Navy diver, Doug opened a dive shop, Wilson Diving so that he could share his love of diving with everyone.
After moving to Vancouver Island, BC 9 years ago, I had the desire to get back into diving after a 10 year hiatus. I have always been very serious about dive safety, so felt that I should do a refresher course. I looked into all the dive shops and courses in the Victoria area. What I found was that there was really only one shop that had a reputation for Safety First, Wilson Diving.
I talked a friend of mine into doing the refresher course with me. It turned out that the "refresher course" was just the regular course at a discounted price. Fine by me.
Comparing this experience with my original certification course, I was surprised at how much emphasis Doug's course placed on safety. Not so scary as to frighten away a new diver, but realistic enough to make you think about safety a lot more. It gave me a whole new appreciation of diving.
I have been certified for 30 years, and in that time have met a lot of divers around the world. Doug is the one person that stands out to me as being the most safety conscious.

Hello Wilson Diving,
Just wanted to say 'thanks to Denis' for all his advice and for putting together a great snorkel set for us.
We recently honeymooned in the Mayan Rivieria side of Mexico and our resort had a great bay we used our snorkel set every day....sometime, twice a day! I've never worn a mask that fit my small face and didn't leak...what a treat!
While we don't plan on diving, we will certainly be seeking opportunities to use our snorkel gear in the future!

Awesome dive shop!
Doug (owner) was super cool in setting us up with gear, turning us onto a hot spot to burn a couple of tanks off and reminding us to take time to enjoy the area. He was right, this place is truly beautiful. Can't wait to discover some more of this area.

Well..... yesterday I had a couple of gals who were pretty excited about getting into wet suits so I phoned up Doug at Wilson Diving and it sounded like they had some used suits (and a new one for me). Tim was in the store when we arrived and recognized me from when we met somewhere about a year ago. Anyway, we spent at least two hours at their store and they suited us up really well, giving me some very good deals on three wet suits, 3 pairs of boots, a pair of gloves, a pair of fins, a weight belt and a head cover. I was very satisfied with their service, expertise, care and generosity. If some day we decide to actually scuba dive, I will definitely look them up. I recommend dealing with them for anything, anytime.
